AN ORDINANCE annexing certain
lands to the Village of Elk Grove
Villago, Illinois.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village by GREAT NOR'T'HERN
DEVELOPMENT CO., A Delaware Corporation, being the sole owner
of record of the hereinafter described -land and territory for annexation
to the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove
Village, is uninhabited and has no electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies
with the requirements of the statute in such case made and provided; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary that the Village annex
that part of Higgins Road adjoining Lots 4 and 6 and that part of Arlington
Heights (State) Road adjoining Lots 3 and 4, of the premises herein soujht
to, be annexed, no such portion of said rands being within any other
municipality; that other portions of Higgins Road and Arlington Heights
(State) Road are now within the corporate boundaries of the Village of
Elk Grove Village; as provided by Section 7-8 of Article 8 of the Cities
and Villages .Act,
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village
have examined said petition and have considered the question of the
annexation of the territory described in said petition and believe it to be
to the best interests of the municipality that such territory be annexed
thereto; Nov, Therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELIC GROVE VILLAGE , COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
Section L That the lands and territory described in said petition
together with portions of Higgins Road and Arlington Heights (State)
Road adjoining thereto, to -wit -
Loots Three (3), Four (4), Five (5) and Six (6) in
Arthur B. Scharringbausen+s resubdivision of parts
of Sections 21 and Z2, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian according to the
plat thereof filed in the office of the Registrar of
Titles of Cook County, Illinois as Doc. No. 572818
and that part of Higgins Road right-of-way lying South
of the aforesaid lots Four (4), and Six (6), also that
part of Arlington Heights (State) Road right-of-way
lying westerly of the aforesaid Lots Three (3) and
Four (4), all in Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not
embraced therein, is uninhabited, contains no electors residing therein,
and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village
of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be included
within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such
case trade and provided.
Section Z. The Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to
record a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map
of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County„
Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval, according to law.
