AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-7:13.3 OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 6 FOOT HIGH
WHITE VINYL FENCE ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 220 PLACID WAY,
ELK GROVE VILLAGE (JONES)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at
a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of
granting a variation of Section 3-7:D.3 of the Zoning Ordinance: which section prohibits
fences to be located beyond the line extended from the nearest front corner of the
principle building located on an adjacent single-family residential lot to permit the
construction of a six foot (6') high white vinyl fence that extends approximately twenty-
eight feet 28' beyond the line extended on property located at 220 Placid Way, Elk Grove
Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having reviewed the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of
Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of
said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-7:13.3 of the Zoning
Ordinance to permit the construction of a six (6') high white vinyl fence that extends
approximately twenty-eight (28') feet beyond the line extended from the nearest front
corner of the principle structure on an adjacent single-family residential lot on property
located at 220 Placid Way, Elk Grove Village and identified by the following property
identification number:
08-33-106-018-0000
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
