AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (CAMBRIDGE)
WHEREAS, Cambridge Homes, Inc. is in the process of developing a single-
family and multi -family residential project in the Village of Schaumburg, which
development is located on the west side of Meacham Road, immediately south of the Fox
Run Golf Course in the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, during the conveyance and development process, it was determined
that a strip of land in the development, legally described on the Plat of Disconnect was
erroneously included in the corporate limits of the Village of Elk Grove Village rather
than being annexed to the Village of Schaumburg as was agreed upon by the then owners
of the property, which Plat of Disconnect was prepared by Midwest Technical
Consultants, Inc. and which is incorporated by reference into this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village does not have any use or need for
said strip of property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Village's approval and acceptance of the Plat of
Disconnect from the Village of Elk Grove Village prepared by Midwest Technical
Consultants, Inc. and the Village Clerk is hereby directed to attest to the signature of the
Mayor on said Plat of Disconnect, copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village
Clerk.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.

ABSENT: 1
