AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, BUSINESS AND LICENSE
REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 5, FOOD RELATED BUSINESS, SECTION 3-5A-1:
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 3-5A.1: CODES ADOPTED; AMENDMENTS: of the
Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
c) All persons employed by a food establishment or retail
food store, must show proof of having undergone TB
Screening within a two (2) year period. All new employees as
a condition of employment must show proof of having
undergone a TB Screening within two (2) years of being
hired. Such employee must show proof of TB Screening
through a skin test, x-ray, or other method deemed
satisfactory by the Health Department of the Village.
Section 2: That the remaining Section of Title 3, Chapter 5, Article A.,
pertaining to FOOD SERVICE AND RETAIL FOOD STORE SANITATION
CODES shall be in full force and effect.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
