A RESOLUTION FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PROVIDE A TIME CAPUSLE TO BE
PLACED IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE CLOCK TOWER WITH INFORMATION AND
THE RECORDATION OF HISTORY WITH RESPECT TO THE YEAR 2002
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage,
State of Illinois:
Section 1: That the organization of informational and historical
items is authorized to be placed in a time capsule to be sealed in the
Village of Elk Grove Village Clock Tower.
Section 2: That the Time Capsule and items shall be stored and
preserved within the Clock Tower for opening on the Village's 75th
Anniversary, July 16, 2031.
Section 3: That the items listed and attached hereto (Exhibit A)
shall serve to preserve the memory of the times and people of Elk
Grove Village in the year 2002.
Section 4: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees and Village
employees wish to provide an understanding of the responsibilities of
the Village Government, their plans for the future and their love and
dedication to the "Exceptional Community"
Section 5: That the contents of the Time Capsule will provide a
snap shot of the Village in the year 2002.
Section 6: That the contents of the Time Capsule will confirm
that the Mayor, Board of Trustees, and community leaders of the
Village of Elk Grove have worked tirelessly to create a community that
will still be enjoyed and admired in the year 2031.
Section 7: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
