AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-7:D.1 AND
SECTION 3-7:5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT A ROOF
OVERHANG TO ENCROACH NOT MORE THAN 12 INCHES INTO A
REQUIRED SIDE YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 498 FRANKLIN
LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (GRAFF)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing duly called and
held according to law, considered the questions of granting a variation of Section 3-7:1).1
and Section 3-7:5 to permit a roof overhang to encroach no more than 12 inches into a
required side yard on property located at 498 Franklin Lane; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having reviewed the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of
Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of
said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-7:1).1 and Section 3-7:5
of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a roof overhang to encroach not more than 12 inches
into a required side yard on property located at 498 Franklin Lane, Elk Grove Village and
identified by the following property identification number:
07-25-317-001-0000
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
