A RESOLUTION AMENDING ARTICLE II, SECTION 2.2 OPEN
POSITIONS/RECRUITMENT OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND
REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY
ADDING SECTION 2.2D -JOB SHARING
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1: That Article II, Section 2.2 Open
Positions/Recruitment of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the
same is hereby amended to add Section 2.21) - Job Sharing,
a copy of the amendment being attached hereto and made a
part hereof as if fully set forth.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.

SECTION 2.2D - JOB SHARING
A Department Head, with authorization from the Village
Manager may fill a full-time position with two (2) part-
time employees provided the job sharing:
1. Does not exceed the hours of the full-time
equivalent of the position; and
2. Does not result in wages exceeding the
equivalent of the full-time position; and
3. Does not impact customer service or
productivity.
This provision does not apply to sworn (uniform) and
managerial classification.
