A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE CLERK
TO EXECUTE AN EXTENSION OF AN AGREEMENT (Resolution No. 49-94 amended
by Resolution No. 2-96) BETWEEN ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
NORTHWEST FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICE TO MULTI -FAMILY PROPERTIES,
CHURCHES, CONGREGATE HOUSE UNITS, AND ALEXIAN BROTHERS MEDICAL CENTER
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village President be and is hereby authorized to
sign the attached documents marked:
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
Amending a Solid Waste contract with WASTE MANAGEMENT
NORTHWEST for Multiple Family Properties,
Churches, Congregate House Units, and
Alexian Brothers Medical Center with the Village
Of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth and the Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the
signature of the Village President.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.

Letter of Understanding
amending the solid waste contract
between the Village of Elk Grove and Waste Management for
Multiple -Family Properties, Churches, Congregate Housing Units and
Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
The Village of Elk Grove and Waste Management hereby agree to extend the existing
solid waste contract for an additional 5 year period, beginning November 1, 2000 and
terminating October 31, 2005 with the following amendments to the contract:
Revised Section 3.1 — Term of Contract
The initial term of this Waste Contract shall commence on November 1, 1994 and end on
October 31, 2005, unless terminated at an earlier date pursuant to the terms of this Waste
Contract.

By signing below, each party agrees to accept the terms of this letter of understanding,
contract amendments, and price terms as stated in the revised Exhibits.

Letter of Understanding
amending the solid waste contract

The Village of Elk Grove and Waste Management hereby agree to extend the existing
