A RESOLUTION HONORING CHARLES 1. ZETTEK
WHEREAS, Charles J. zettek has served the village of Elk Grove village as village Trustee
for ten years and village President for twenty-two years; and
WHEREAS, his leadership, talent, initiative and love of the community has enabled the village
to gain a strong voice on local and regional issues; and
WHEREAS, his dedication and leadership on beha� of local government was demonstrated by
serving on intergovernmental cooyerative groups such as: the Northwest suburban Munic�al Joint
Action water Agency; the Northwest Municipal Conference; PACE; O'Hare Advisory Committee;
solid waste Agency of Northern Cook County; Greater woodfield convention and visitors Bureau;
Private industrial council; and the Northwest Transportatton council of Mayors; and
WHEREAS, Charles J. zettek has made countless contributions to the betterment and growth of
the village over the vast thirty-two years, including the annexation of 6 square miles of land area;
construction of 10,463 housing units with the addition of 23,105 residents and 3,110 firms to the
industrial Park; and
WHEREAS, under the auspices of Charles J. zettek's leadership, the village of Elk Grove has
been awarded two Governors' Home Town Awards; eight consecutive Tree City USA designations; ten
consecutive cert ficate of Achievement awards for Excellence in Financial Reyorting and the designation
of the village as an illinois certified city; and
WHEREAS, Charles J. zettek contributed thirty-two years of his time and talent to the
village, from its infancy to its maturity, making it the "Camelot of the Northwest suburbs'.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the president and Board of Trustees of the
village of Elk Grove village, counties of cook and DUPage, illinois do extend our sincerest
appreciation and warm wishes to Charles J. zettek and his family for good health and happiness in
the future; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President and Board of Trustees do hereby designate
the governmental off ices of the village as the -charlcs ). zcttcic Mwuc"gyral Building .
