A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND THE SUBURBAN BUS DIVISION
(PACE) OF THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (DIAL-A-RIDE)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village President be and is hereby authorized to
sign the attached document an Amendment to the Local Share Agreement, which
is hereby amended by deleting Section 6B and to read as follows:
"B. During the first three months of 1994, January 1, 1994
through March 31 , 1994, the Pace contribution will be the
lessor of 75% of the Total Expense minus fares or $2.50
multiplied by the number of one way passenger trips. During
the remainder of the Agreement term, April 1, 1994 through
August 14, 1994, the Pace contribution will be the lessor
of 70% of the Total Expense, minus fares or $2.00 multiplied
by the number of one way passenger trips"
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth and the Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the
signature of the Village President.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Dear President Gallitano: Executive Director
I am pleased to inform you that Pace will be able to maintain the current subsidy formula for dial-a-
ride services for the first ninety days of 1994. Therefore, we have prepared this letter to serve as
an amendment to the Local Share Agreement between Pace and Elk Grove Village, dated July 27,
1993, and amended December 14, 1993. Specifically, the Amendment to the Local Share
Agreement is hereby amended by deleting Section 6B and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"B. During the first three months of 1994, January 1, 1994 through March 31, 1994, the
Pace contribution will be the lessor of 75% of the Total Expense minus fares or $2.50
multiplied by the number of one way passenger trips. During the remainder of the
Agreement term, April 1, 1994 through August 14, 1994, the Pace contribution will be the
lessor of 70% of the Total Expense, minus fares or$2.00 multiplied by the number of one
way passenger trips."
During these ninety days, Pace and the RTA will work together on a paratransit services study.
We are hopeful that at the outcome of the study, the RTA will provide additional funds to Pace that
can be used to maintain the current dial-a-ride subsidy formula for the remainder of 1994.
A fully executed copy of the Amendment Agreement dated December 14, 1993 is enclosed. If you

Manager.
