HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 23-92 - 4/14/1992 - REPLACEMENT OF RECYCLING BINS/RESIDENTSRESOLUTION NO. 23-92 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICIES FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF RECYCLING BINS BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE FOR RESIDENTS REQUIRING REPLACEMENT BINS AND/OR SECOND BINS NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1: New residents moving into newly constructed single family dwelling units will receive one bin from Elk Grove Village Health Services at no cost. Section 2: New residents moving into previously occupied homes where there has been no bin left by the previous occupants shall receive one bin at no cost. The resident must present proof of being a new occupant by presenting a water bill which shall be confirmed by Health Services. Residents not paying water bills will bring verification from their association indicating that they are a new occupant. Section 3: Residents with damaged bins must bring the bin in to Health Services and it will be replaced at no cost to the resident. Section 4: Residents whose bin has deteriorated and is no longer usable due to normal wear and tear shall bring the bin into the Health Services and receive a bin at no cost. Section 5: Residents requesting a bin for reasons not stated in Sections 1 through 4 above must pay for the bin and bring proof of payment to Health Services to receive the bin. Section 6: The cost for a bin will be $5.00. The resident will make payment to the Finance Department and present a receipt to Health Services before receiving a new bin. Section 7: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 14th day of April , 1992.
