A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO EXECUTE A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
(BIESTERFIELD AND BEISNER RD)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village President be and is hereby authorized to
sign the attached documents marked:
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT BIESTERFIELD & BEISNER ROAD
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth and the Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the
signature of the Village President.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Dear Mr . Zettek .
Reference our Agreement for modernization of the traffic
signal at Beisterfield @ Beisner dated January 28, 1992 .
Since Elk Grove Village is extending the existing "closed
loop" signal system, from the 1-90 Ramps east to include
the aforementioned traffic signal, requiring the services
of a single maintenance contractor, we are modifying the
Agreement to state that the Department of Transportation
will maintain the aforementioned signals with its own
forces or through an ongoing contractual Agreement .
The State of Illinois will bill the Village of Elk Grove
for 100% of the maintenance charges for the intersection
of Beisterfield @ Beisner on a 3 month basis. The Village
of Elk Grove will remain responsible for 100% of the
electrical energy charges .
