Police, Fire & PW Department heads are made aware of this. ii. Public Work selected Todd Gore, long time EGV resident & employee. iii. Police & Fire still pending. b. Floats i. Sponsor float music — band? Steve provides updates. c. Entries / Groups i. Storm Troopers — PW will be picking them up at Oktoberfest. Shuttle to the start of route (not in uniform). They will walk parade & be at Oktoberfest for a little (approx. 1 hour) & leave. Laura confirmed with storm troopers. Good to go ii. Balloons by Tommy — EG Blvd 17 ft wide; letters are approx. 3.5ft wide. Approx 4-5 letters would fit across. Instead of Balloons, Coordinators will produce a large, nice, Thank You First Responders Banner iii. Marilyn to provide update on contact with Trinity Dance of Chicago. Not available due to "St Patrick's Day celebrations" iv. Applications: 1. Applications as of 7-7-23 @10:OOam a. Pending i. Laura will prepare & mayor will sign this years. b. Announcers i. EGTV will reach out to Sue Heaton & Angie Catania — they have announced year's prior & were requested by the committee last year. EGTV will contact. Check if Angie & Sue can judge also. c. Volunteers i. Coordinators are working on out reach now (Fire academy students, PW Academy grads) ii. High School sports teams — paying? iii. Trustee Joe Bush as a resource Laura / Coordinators will meet with Trustee Bush. Donations will be given. Min. $500, will increase as number of volunteers increase. d. Teeshirts i. Committee — do we need new shirts this year? Last year shirts were the Maroon teeshirt w/ Oktoberfest logo. No date. We have limited M, L & XL available. ii. Volunteers — we have a reserve from last year. As this time, we do not need to order more. e. Postcard / poster i. 11 x17 flyers for the community— Parade ii. 46 postcards for the front counters — Parade / Oktoberfest iii. 8.5 x 5.5 postcard mailed out to residents & businesses — Parade / Oktoberfest IV. Meeting Schedule leading up until the Parade a. August 14th - Pizza will be ordered. b. August 28th (if needed — please pencil in date) c. September 11th Laura will order 15X25 flag. Police to provide update on notices to businesses impacted by line up.
