HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 54-90 - 8/14/1990 - EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES RELEASED RESOLUTION NO. 54-90 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RELEASE/RETENTION OF EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village have met from time to time in executive session for purposes authorized by the Illinois Open Meetings Act; and WHEREAS, as required by the Act, the Village has kept written minutes of all such executive sessions; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Public Act 85-1355, the President and Board of Trustees have met in closed session to review all closed session minutes; and WHEREAS, they have determined that a need for confidentiality still exists as to the executive session minutes for certain meetings and that they should not be released at this time; and WHEREAS, they have further determined that the minutes of the meetings listed on the attachment hereto no longer require confidential treatment and should be made available for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois, as follows: Section 1. That the Executive Session Minutes from those meetings set forth on the attachment hereto are hereby released. Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make said minutes available for inspection and copying in accordance with the standing procedures of the Clerk' s office. Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTES: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 PASSED this 14th day of August 1990. In addition, Gallitano , Chernick and Willis were named to meet with a committee of the Park District to discuss the conditions imposed by the Village for the transfer of the Windemere Park site to the Elk Grove Park District. The consensus of the Committee was for staff to negotiate a seven step pay plan with a starting salary of $27 ,000 and a top salary of no more than $37 ,650. In addition, the wage agreement shall be for one year unless a longer term wage settlement can be reached. Number of pages att,�cned: 1 Date(s) of revit!v for ralma s-: July 1990 Dace of apnroval for rcicasv: PERSONNEL The Committee discussed increases in wages and salaries for non-union employees and the consensus was as follows: - Grant a 5% range adjustment to the step plan wage and merit plan salary ranges. - Create an 8% pool for merit pay; - Permit the Village Manager to approve increases from 0% to 8% of salary, based upon performance, for merit employees; and - Require justification for increases greater than 5%. The Committee also reached consensus to provide specific hourly rate employees a 5% range adjustment. Due to the pending union negotiations this information will be kept confidential. The Executive Group compensation was reviewed by Ernst 9 Young and a report will be provided by the Personnel VAV Committee to the Committee of the Whole.
