A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS,
COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS, AND THE COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANSMITTAL
TO COOK COUNTY BOARD OF CONMISSIONERS IN RESPONSE TO THE PUBLIC
HEARING HELD BY THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS ON SEPTEMBER 19, 1990
REGARDING A VARIATION REQUEST FOR PROPERTY -LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF
DIERKING TERRACE APPRO XT MATELY 212.48 FEET NORTH OF LANDMEIER ROAD
I -
WHEREAS, the applicant, R. DiLeonardi and owner, K. Zygowicz, of the
property legally described as follows:
Lot 9 in Block 3 in Roppolo' s Landmeier Subdivision
being a resubdivision of Lot 2 (except the East 713.71
feet thereof) in the Subdivision of the Estate of Henry
Landmeier, being part of Sections 26 & 35, Township 41
North, Range 11 cast of the Third Principal Meridian
Recorded February 8, 1957 as Torrens Document 1722183
(the "Subject Property")
has petitioned for a --oning variation to reduce the required setback from
30 feet to 10 feet for an office/warehouse in the I-1 Restricted Industrial
District ; and,
WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 5444 by the Cook
County Zoning Board of Appeals: and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this
property on the West side.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State Of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby
register objection to the petitioner's request for a variation to reduce
the required setback from 30 feet to 10 feet in the I-1 Restricted
Industrial District for the following reasons :
a. The particular physical surroundings, shape, or topographical
conditions of the property involved do not result in a
particular hardship upon the owner, as distinguished from a
mere inconvenience, if the strict letter of the regulations
were carried out.
b. The conditions upon which the petition for variation is
based are not unique to the property for which the variation
is sought, but are applicable, generally, to other property
within the same zoning classifications.
c. The grant-Ing Of the variation will be detrimental to the
public welfare and inJurious to other property or
improvements in the neighborhoods in which the property is

Section 2: ThaL this 'eS0lUtICrI shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approVd] according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk' s Office is hereby directed to
submit the foregoing Resolution to all governmental bodies that have
jurisdiction and/or interest in the development of the premises as set
forth above and set forth in the caption thereto.
