A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF CONMISSIONERS,
COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS, AND THE COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANSMITTAL
TO COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN RESPONSE TO THE PUBLIC
HEARING HELD BY THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS ON SEPTEMBER 14,
1990 REGARDING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED 014 THE EAST SIDE OF
MEACHAM ROAD APPROXIMATELY 1305 FEET NORTH OF NERGE ROAD
WHEREAS, the applicant and owner, Rose Walshin and Francine
Clivalovsky of the property legally described as follows:
The East 370.57 ft. of West 420.57 ft. of South
80.0 ft. of South 178.00 ft. of North 37.5 acres
of �-,est 75 acres of East 1/2 of Northwest 1/4
of Section 36, T41N, RID, East of the Third
Principal Meridian.
have petitioned for rezoning of same from R-5 Single Family Residential
District to d Speci&l Use for Unique use in the R-5, Single Family District
to permit an on-premise real e.srate office and proprietor' s residence; and,
WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 5442 by the
Cook County Zoning boaro of Appeals, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this
property on the West side.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State
of Illinois as follows:
Section 1 : That zne Village of Elk Grove Viliage does hereby
register objection to the peti --ioner' s request tor the rezoning of the
subject property describea &Dove for the following reasons:
a. The Elk, Grove Village �omprehensive Plan and Official Map
adopted October 22, 1968 duly filed with the Cook
County Clerk, and the Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan
Map adoptea April 24, 1990 identifies said land to be within
the future territorial boundaries and corporate limits of
Elk Grove Village, with an R-3 Single-Family detached Zoning
Classification. The proposed Special Use is inconsistent with
the official maps.
b. That the Cook County Comprehensive Land Use and Policies
Plan (adopted in 1976 and with 1984 revisions) shows this
and the properties abutting it on the North, East and
South sides as Single Family Residential . The property
on the South is used for d church which is a permitted use
in R-5 Single Family.
c. That the best and must suiLable use of the property is
th,it of �ingle Family Residential , not commercial use
for offices as requested; that the Village therefore
reouvsts 'the denial of the application.
Section 2: That this 1�esolutioii �Jiall be in full force and effect
from and atLer it, p6s,�cigL aiid appruv,�l according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk' s Office is hereby directed to
submit the foregoing Resolution to all governmental bodies that hdve
jurisdiction and/or interest in the development of the premises as set
forth above and as set forth in the caption thereto.
