A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO EXECUTE A PETITION TO REQUEST ANNEXATION OF LAND
OWNED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS TO THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of Illi-
nois has filed a Petition for Annexation to the Village of certain
property located at the Southeast corner of Biesterfield Road and
Interstate 290 ; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-1-2 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes requires the Village to petition for the written permis-
sion of the Governor for annexation of land and territory owned by
the State of Illinois ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village President be authorized to exe-
cute and the Village Clerk authorized to attest to the signature
of the President a Petition to the Honorable James R. Thompson,
Governor of the State of Illinois, for annexation of land owned by
the State of Illinois to the Village of Elk Grove Village, a copy
of said Petition being attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,
FOR ANNEXATION OF LAND OWNED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS
TO THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS
(Biesterfield and Rohlwing Roads)
Now comes the Petitioner, Village of Elk Grove Village, an
Illinois Municipal Corporation, and respectfully petitions the
Honorable James R. Thompson, Governor of the State of Illinois, under
the provisions of Chapter 24, Section 7-1-2 of Illinois Revised
Statutes , for written permission to annex to the corporate limits of
the Village of Elk Grove Village that certain property owned by the
State of Illinois and legally described and shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by reference thereto specifically incorporated
herein, and represents as follows:
1. That this Petition is made pursuant to authority and direction
given by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a regular meeting.
2. That the property requested to be annexed to the Village of
Elk Grove Village consists of one (1) parcel designated as Exhibit "All
located on the Southeast corner of Rohlwing Road and Biesterfield Road
in Cook County, Illinois.
3. That the property requested to be annexed is owned by the
State of Illinois under the jurisdiction, supervision and control of
the Illinois Department of Transportation.
4. That the property requested to be annexed is situated in
unincorporated territory and is contiguous to the existing corporate
limits of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
5. That it is in the best interests of and desirable for the
orderly growth of the Village of Elk Grove Village that this property
be annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner, Village of Elk Grove Village,
respectfully requests that the Honorable James R. Thompson, Governor of
the State of Illinois, consent to the annexation of the aforesaid
property to the Village of Elk Grove Village.

Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois,
described as follows :
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of FAI Route 290
and the centerline of Biesterfield Road; thence on an assumed bearing
of North 88 degrees 39 minutes 10 seconds East along the centerline
of said Biesterfield Road 771. 06 feet; thence South 07 degrees 20
minutes 50 seconds East 186 .02 feet to a point 185 .00 feet normal dis-
distance South of the centerline of said Biesterfield Road; thence

Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, recorded October 7 ,
1986 , as Document No. 86462251 ; thence on an assumed bearing of
North 88 degrees 18 minutes 29 seconds East along the North line
of said Subdivision 212.50 feet to the Southwest corner of Itasca
