HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 72-90 - 11/13/1990 - CLASS 6B STATUS/1800 LUNT AVE RESOLUTION NO .---72-90 RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS FOR CLASS 6B (OR 6A) STATUS PURSUANT TO THE COOK COUNTY REAL PROPERTY CLASSIFICATION ORDINANCE AS AMENDED JANUARY 1 , 1990 FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE OWNED BY Brighton-Best Socket Screw Mfg. , Inc. LOCATED AT 1800 Lunt Avenue (see legal description attached) Village of Elk Grove, Illinois WHEREAS , the Village of Elk Grove desires to promote the development of industry in the Village of Elk Grove ; and WHEREAS , the Cook County Assessor is operating under an ordinance enacted by the Cook County Board of Commissioners , and amended from time to time , the most recent amendment becoming effective as of January 1 , 1990 , which has instituted a program to encourage industrial and commercial development in Cook County known as the Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance; and WHEREAS , Brighton-Best Socket Screw Mfg. , Inc. has applied for or is applying for Class 6B ( or in the alternative , Class 6A) property status pursuant to said aforementioned ordinance , for certain real estate located at 1800 Lunt Avenue ( see legal description attached) in the Village of Elk Grove , Cook County, Illinois , with the Property Index Number( s) 08-35-104-067-0000, and legally described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto , and has proven to this Board that such incentive provided for in said ordinance is necessary for development to occur on this specific real estate ; now, therefore , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE , ILLINOIS , as follows : 1 . That the request of BRIGHTON-BEST SOCKET SCREW MFG. , INC. through its attorney, Leonard F. Amari, to have certain real estate located at 1800 Lunt Avenue Cook County , Illinois legally described on exhibit "A" , attached hereto , and with the Property Index Number(s ) 08- 35-104-067-0000, Volume 050 , declared eligible for Class 6B (or in the alternative , Class 6A) status pursuant to the Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance , as amended January 1 , 1990 , is hereby granted in that this Board and municipality recognizes that the incentive benefits provided for in said ordinance are necessary for development of this real estate to occur. 2 . That the Village hereby supports and consents to said site to receive Class 6B (or in the alternative , Class 6A) status from the Cook County Assessor pursuant to said ordinance . 3 . That the Mayor and Clerk or other appropriate Village officials are hereby authorized to sign any necessary documents to implement this resolution. 4 . That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. ADOPTED this 13th day of November, 1990 i Charles J.
