RESOLUTION NO. 46-89
A RESOLUTION HONORING ALICE HEHR
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr has lived in Elk Grove Village for 14 years; and
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr has been the volunteer craft class teacher at the
Village Grove Apartments Clubhouse for the past 12 years; and
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr organizes the Christmas Bazaar, which donates the
money earned to the Kenneth W. Young Center for Seniors; and
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr through her involvement with Christus Victor
Lutheran Church has made quilts which have been donated to Third World
Countries for the past 5 years; and
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr serves on the Kenneth W. Young Center Advisory
Board that handles the "Meals on Wheels" for the seniors program; and
WHEREAS, Alice Hehr volunteers at the Kenneth W. Young Thrift Shop
every Friday.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Alice Hehr because of her encouragement and hard
work in organizing her group members into a proud, able and productive
group who work to make money for senior services, she was selected to
represent the Village of Elk Grove Village at the Emerald Ball held by the
Greater Woodfield organization.
Section 2: That Alice Hehr is hereby commended for her concern and
devotion to the senior residents of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after it passage and approval according to law.
