A RESOLUTION HONORING RICHARD R. PENLEY
WHEREAS, Richard R. Penley has served as a teacher at the junior high
school level for 5 years and at the high school level for the past 19
years; and
WHEREAS, Richard R. Penley is an active member on the Cook County
States Attorney Task Force on drug abuse; and
WHEREAS, Richard R. Penley serves on the Advisory Board Resource for
the Elderly and initiated the Intergenerational Community Service
Committee, which brings youth and senior citizens together by completing
home maintenance tasks that seniors are unable to do; and
WHEREAS, Richard R. Penley is a member of the Elk Grove Village
Community Services Board and serves on the Advisory Council of High School
District 214 Community Education; and
WHEREAS, Richard R. Penley provides a workshop for The Illinois
Citizenship Experience Program, is an active participant in the Safe Ride
Program, and is a board member of Future Vision, organizations which
provide understanding, education, and entertainment for high school and
college youths.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1. That Richard R. Penley, because of his dedication as a
leader in the Village of Elk Grove Village, was selected "Man of the Year
1989" by the Greater Woodfield organization.
Section 2. That Richard R. Penley is hereby commended for his
concern and dedication to the youth of Elk Grove Village and to his
commitment in serving the citizens of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
