HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 59-89 - 9/12/1989 - EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES RELEASED RESOLUTION NO. 59-89 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RELEASE/RETENTION OF EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village have met from time to time in executive session for purposes authorized by the Illinois Open Meetings Act; and WHEREAS, as required by the Act, the Village Clerk has kept written minutes of all such executive sessions; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Public Act 85-1355, the President and Board of Trustees have met in closed session to review all closed session minutes; and WHEREAS, they have determined that a need for confidentiality still exists as to the executive session minutes for certain meetings and that they should not be released at this time; and WHEREAS, they have further determined that the minutes of the meetings listed on the attachment hereto no longer require confidential treatment and should be made available for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois, as follows: Section 1. That the Executive Session Minutes from those meetings set forth on the attachment hereto are hereby released. Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make said minutes available for inspection and copying in accordance with the standing procedures of the Clerk's office. Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTES: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: a PASSED this 12th day of September 1989. Raise the Assistant Village Manager's base pay to $53,084: an increase of 3.4%, or $1,715, 2. Grant a cost of livint and general performance increase of $5,000 (9. 7o above his 1988-89 salary) to be paid in a lump sum on May 1, 1989. Consensus was to authorize the payment of $37,500 for legal services performed by the Village Attorney for the upcoming bond issue, and to increase the Village Attorney's overall hourly rate from $105 per hour to $125 per hour effective 6-1-89, with the understanding that any future bond work would be billed at the then current hourly rate. Number of pages attached: I Date(s) of review for release: 11-23-89 Date of approval for release: COMPLAINT BY RESIDENT The members of the Village Board were advised by the Village Manager that a resident had advised the Village Manager's Office in mid-April 1989 that the driver of a dark colored truck with a "star" on the door had been seen placing private advertise- ments in mailboxes at 8 a.m. The resident thought that the "star" resembled the logo used on Village vehicles. The Village owns two dark trucks and both were properly accounted for on the day of the reported incident. The resident will be advised that our investigation revealed no Municipal employee or Municipal vehicle were used to deliver private advertisements. mw
