A RESOLUTION APPROVING A STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT
TO INSTALL PUBLIC SIDEWALKS BETWEEN THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND GEORGE VASSOS, OWNER,
GOLDEN LANCE RESTAURANT (1500 S. BUSSE ROAD)(MA%WELL'S PLUM)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section l: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby
accept the attached document marked:
"Statement of Commitment to Install
Public Sidewalks"
a copy of which is attached hereto and made of part hereof as
if fully set forth.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage approval according to law.

At their February 28, 1984 village Board meeting, the President
and Board of Trustees considered your request to waive the installation
of sidewalks -on Busse Road from Greenleaf Avenue to the south property
line of the Golden Lance Restaurant. The village Board agreed to waive
the sidewalk installation at this time provided you agree to the
following:
"At such time as either the Permittee or the Village shall
procure from the State of Illinois permission to construct a
sidewalk along Busse Road, the Permittee will, within thirty
(30) days after the issuance, weather permitting, construct
a sidewalk in accordance with Village Ordinances along Busse
Road from Greenleaf Avenue to the southern edge of the
Golden Lance Restaurant."
The State of Illinois is not issuing permits for sidewalks until
a comprehensive sidewalk plan is developed by the Village which
addresses the entire drainage system on Busse Road. The above
language is taken from an agreement with another property owner located
on Busse Road. That property owner has agreed to build the sidewalk
at some future date should the State condescend and issue sidewalk
permits.
If you are agreeable to the condition imposed by the Village,
please sign and return this letter. A copy of this letter has been
enclosed for you to retain.
The building permit will be released upon the return of this
letter. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
contact me.
