A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED BY
THE CANVASSING BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK'GROVE VILLAGE OF THE
VOTES OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION FOR VILLAGE OFFICIALS HELD
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 2, 1985 AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS
WHEREAS, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday,
April 2, 1985, for the purpose of electing one (1) Village President -
for a four year term; three (3) Village Trustees - each for a four year
term; two (2) Library Directors - each for a six year term; and one (1)
Library Director - for a two year term.
WHEREAS, the Village President, a Village Trustee, and the Village
Clerk met after due notice to all concerned parties and canvassed the
results of the election as required by statute by examining the official
tally sheets and returns which have been transmitted to the Village Clerk
by the County Clerk and have made their report to the Village Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2: That a total of 3113 votes were cast in the fol-
lowing manner:
For the office of Village President:

Section 5: That the Proclamation of the Canvassing Board is
hereby accepted in total.
Section 6: That Charles J. Zettek Jr. received the highest number of
votes for the office of Village President of the Village of Elk Grove
Village for a term of four (4) years and is hereby declared elected.
Section 7: That Ronald L. Chernick, Joseph T.,Bosslet, and Dennis J.
Gallitano received the highest number of votes for the office of Village
Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of four (4) years
each and are hereby declared elected.
Section 8: That Donald L. Henderson and Kerry L. Waser
received the highest number of votes for the office of Library Director
and are hereby declared elected to the office of Library Director of the
Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of six (6) years each.
Section 9: That Michael C.Sanaghan received the highest number of
votes for the office of Library Director and is hereby declared elected
to the office of Library Director of the Village of Elk Grove Village for
a term of two (2) years.
Section 10: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
