HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 69-85 - 8/27/1985 - NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES RESOLUTION NO . 6q-85 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR HOMEOWNERS IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village , Counties of Cook and DuPage , State of Illinois : Section 1 : That the following procedures for public hearings for homeowners are hereby established . A. The Village of Elk Grove Village will : 1 . In accordance with the Illinois State Statutes , cause a legal notice of time , place , and purpose of the public hearing to be published in a news- paper of general circulation within the Village of Elk Grove Village not more than thirty (30) days nor less than fifteen ( 15) days in advance of such hearing . 2 . Provide a written notice to all property owners and/or residents within 300 feet of the subject property under petition, exclusive of streets and rights-of-way, including publicly owned prop- erty . It shall be at the determination of the President and Board of Trustees that notification be given to any county or municipality or school district or regional planning agency whose boundary includes or is within 300feet , inclusive of streets and rights-of-way , of the subject property under petition. Written notice shall be served in person or by mail , not more than thirty (30) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled public hearing date . Notification of concerned parties shall be certified to the hearing body by the Village Clerk ' s Office . This notification will contain ( 1) the nature and purpose of the hear- ing, (2) the common address and location of the property in question, (3) the approximate area size of the subject property, (4) the time and place of the hearing, (5) the name and address of the owner of the property, and (6) the address where information may be obtained concerning the petition. 3 . Provide a sign for the petitioner to post on the subject property. B . The Petitioner will : 1 . Post at each street frontage of the subject property a sign as provided for in paragraph A. 3 , as to be clearly legible to the public view on the nearest public way, for at least ten (10) consecutive days prior to the public hearing . A deposit of Twenty-five ($25 . 00) Dollars is required for the use of said sign. Upon the sign being returned to the Village, within five (5) working days after the public hearing, the deposit will be refunded . Failure to return the sign will forfeit the deposit . Section 2 . That the established notification procedures for public hearings shall apply only to residential zoning variations . Section 3 . That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 27th day of August 1985 . APPROVED this 27th day of August 1985 .
