A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE
TO PURCHASE A REAL ESTATE OPTION
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a member of the
Northwest Municipal Conference ("Conference") and wishes to participate
fully in the programs of the Conference; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village recognizes that the
disposal of solid waste Is a key issue for the Northwest Municipal
Conference; and
WHEREAS, the Conference is seeking a solution to the solid waste
disposal 'problems existing in the Conference and the Village of Elk
Grove Village has participated in this search since at least 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village intends to continue to
seek the solution to the solid waste problem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du-
Page, State of Illinois:
Section 1 : That the Northwest Municipal Conference ("Conference")
is hereby appointed agent for the Village of Elk Grove Village for the
purposes of purchasing an option to purchase real estate on behalf of the
Village of Elk Grove Village in relationship to the proposed Conference-
wide solid waste disposal system.
Section 2: That the Village of Elk Grove Village will remit to
the Conference a sum not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) as
its fair share of the purchase price of the option to purchase real estate.
Section 3: That the Conference may obtain the option to purchase in
its own name or may designate, in writing, a designee to obtain the option
to purchase in the designee' s name, subject to the consent of the members of
the Conference.
Section 4: That the Village of Elk Grove Village empowers the Village
President in his role as delegate to the Conference to commit a sum not to
exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) and to consent to the purchase of an
option to purchase real estate on behalf of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 5: That the Village President is instructed to report
to the Board of Trustees upon his action and the action of the Conference.
Section 6: That the Village Clerk is authorized to sent a copy
of this Resolution to the Conference.
Section 7: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
