Trustee Chris Prochno will be announced as the Grand Marshal on Tuesday May 14 board meeting.
III. Applications / Entries
a. Balloons – American Eagle & 3 Star Balloons (Red, White & Blue) + assistance with Oktoberfest balloon
$6,450. Helium is reserved $7,016.96. (Additional helium included. We will get credit back for unused
helium)
b. Entertainment Characters – No Shrek options as proposed on 4/1/24, but Minons are available. $360 /
hour. 3.5 hours. BUT they cannot walk. Would need to be on a float. 2.5 hours. Buzz. Woody. Bluey.
c. Applications to review –
i. Celebration Brass - $800 – Hold
ii. Group Therapy Brass - $1,000 – Hold
iii. Krazy Clown Club - $550 Laura to get more information.
iv. The Chicago Ghostbuster Car Just car or character?
v. Medinah Shriner Mini Choppers – 4-9 adults - $500 - Hold
vi. Girl Scout Troop 47445 Yes
vii. Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove Yes
d. Other outreach completed –
i. Laura – Ghostbuster car (applied), NIU band (reached out), IL Army Nat. Guard (pending), &
emailed Jack Groat about Weinermobile. Follow up with Connie.
Wait until after Memorial Day to see if EGHS could
ii. Steve – Soul Harbor Ranch & Circus Experience Steve to provide more information on circus.
Steve reached out to 25 HS band. Sent application and will send Laura list.
iii. Marilyn – Jazz Consortium Big Band
play exciting Big Band music from the Golden Era of Swing (the 1930's and '40's) to modern Jazz-
Rock songs of today. for your parade we could go as small as 10 pieces, which would include 3
saxes, 2 trumpets, 1 trombone, 3 rhythm and myself as director. The total price would be
$1,455.00. We would have to be seated on a flatbed, as we do not perform on foot. We would also
need electricity for our keyboard and bass.
