STORINO Acting Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on August 16, 2022, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Personnel. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release: Date of approval for release: 1 February 2024 Date approved by Village Board: September 13, 2022 August 16, 2022 L 6:35 pm The Village Board was advised of the following upcoming retirements and resignations: • Public Works Engineering Technician Dave Brandt is retiring on November 4, 2022. • Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Sharpe will be retiring no later than November 16, 2022. Police Officer Kelly Sweeney has plans to retire although she has not provided a retirement date at this time. There has been indication that she is not in favor of the 12 hour shifts. Deputy Police Chief Michael Garrison's retirement party is on Friday, August 26 at 9 a.m. He will be retiring from the Elk Grove Village Police Department to serve as Deputy Police Chief in South Barrington. Police Officer David Miller is leaving the Village on August 26 to take a position with the City of Aurora. The City of Aurora is offering $20,000 bonuses for joining their Police Department. Police Officer Rachael Martin resigned on August 12. The meeting was adjourned at 6:36 pm. L� OR
