Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on September 13, 2022, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Land Disposition.

The Village has been approached by a developer interested in a potential dual brand hotel
development at the Days Inn & Phenix Club site. The proposed development would include
TRU by Hilton and Home2 by Hilton. The developer currently owns the LaQuinta Inn, and
upgrading the existing LaQuinta would be part of the project.
The Board discussed challenges with extended stay hotel being attractive to people looking for
permanent housing. It was the consensus of the Board for staff to continue working with the
developer.
