KNICKERBOCKER Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on December 13, 2022, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Land Acquisition. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release: Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board 1 February 2025 January 10, 2023 December 13, 2022 6:24 pm The Board reviewed the revised layout of Elk Grove Woods Plaza Shopping Center from Wingspan. The overall square footage of the retail space has been slightly minimized. In addition, the revision includes more parking spaces for retail. The Board discussed the progress on the Shell Gas Station and the Village Manager explained that remediation will be required due to spillage from the last time the underground tanks were removed. The Board discussed that only the residents living in the apartment complex will have access to the south entrance of the parking garage. The parking garage will include parking spaces for commercial and retail visitors, in addition to certain levels of the parking garage will be dedicated for only residents of the complex. The consensus of the Board was in favor of the improvements to the parking and general layout of the shopping center in the revised site plan. The Board discussed the announcement of the developer will be made at the first meeting in January. In addition, the consensus of the Committee was that the next steps will include a request for revised elevations and create a plan to share the new elevations with the public by the end of spring or early summer. The Board discussed that a part of the timeline will include meetings between the developer and commercial tenants to discuss any special requests for their businesses. The developer will then create a plan and present a list of the requests and what they would cost to the Village. The Board also discussed the possibility of Jarosch Bakery choosing to close and not being a part of the redevelopment. Ken Jarosch has mentioned retirement in the past, and this development may be the time the bakery chooses to close its doors. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 pm. L
