A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED
BY THE CANVASSING BOARD OF E:LK GROVE VILLAGE OF THE VOTES
OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION FOR VILLAGE OFFICIALS HELD
APRIL 12. 1983. AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS THEREOF
WHEREAS, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday,
April 12, 1983, for the purpose of e:lecting'three Village Trustees (each
for a four-year term) and two Library Directors (each for a six-year term)
and one Library Director (for a two-year term).
WHEREAS, the Village President, a Village Trustee, and the Village
Clerk met after due notice to all concerned parties and canvassed the results
of the election as required by statute by examining the official tally sheets
and returns which have been transmitted to the Village Clerk by the County
Clerk and have made their report to the Village Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove: Village, Cook and DuPage Counties,
Illinois, as follows:
Section l: That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2: That a total of 1596 votes were cast in the fol-
lowing manner:
For the office of Village Trustee:
Michael A. Tosto 1200
Edward R. Hauser 122
James P. Petri 1166
Section 3: That a total of 1596 votes were cast for the
office of Library Director in the following manner:
Kathryn Mary Fleming 1153 6 Year Term
Anthony T. Inzerello 1191 6 Year Term
Robert F. Fleming 736 2 Year Term
William C. Sanseverino 663 2 Year Term
Section 4: That the proclamation of the Canvassing Board is
hereby accepted in total.
Section 5: That Michael Tosto, Edward R. Hauser, and James P.
Petri received the highest number of votes for the office of Village
Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of four (4)
years each and are hereby declared elected.
Section 7: That Kathryn Mary Fleming and Anthony T. Inzerello
received the highest number of votes for the office of Library Director
and are hereby declared elected to the office of Library Director of
the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of six (6) years each.
Section 8: That Robert F. Fleming received the highest number
of votes for the office of Library Director and is hereby declared elected
to the office of Library Director of the Village of Elk Grove for a term
of two (2) years.
Section 9: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 26th day of April 1983.
