A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE SELECTION OF SEVERAL PROJECTS FOR
FUNDING UNDER THE FEDERAL AID TO URBAN SYSTEMS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village has been informed by the Northwest Municipal Conference
that funding for transportation projects is available; and
WHEREAS, the Village has recognized the need for certain improvement
projects with the Village; and
WHEREAS, these projects conform to the specific constraints set forth by
the Chicago Area Transportation Study Northwest Council (the Northwest Municipal
Conference); and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village Board to affirm the selection of
the projects within the Village to indicate their support for these projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois,
that the Village hereby affirms its support for funding under the Federal Aid
to Urban Systems Program for the following projects:
1. Biesterfield Road, from Home Avenue to Meacham Road,
by adding lanes, left turn lanes and traffic signal.
2. Oakton Street, from Shadywood Lane to Seegers Avenue,
by adding lanes and intersection improvement with a
traffic signal.
3• Nerge Road, from Wisconsin Lane to West Village
Limit, by adding lanes.
Section 1: That the Village intends to actively pursue the
implementation of these projects with the cooperation of the affected State
and County organizations.
Section 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Northwest
Municipal Conference.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its approval according to law.
