HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 60-83 - 9/13/1983 - COOK COUNTY BD OF APPEALS RESOLUTION NO. 60-83 A RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH A LETTER SENT BY THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS CONCERNING DOCKETS #4134 AND #4135 BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage , Illinois, as follows: a Section 1 : That the Village President and Board of Trustees do hereby concur with a letter sent by the Village Manager to the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals concerning Dockets #4134 and #4135, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. Seith, Chairman Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals Civic Center, 118 N Clark Street Chicago, Illinois Attn: Secretary, Zoning Board of Appeals Re: Dockets #4134 and #4135 Dear Mr. Seith: The Village of Elk Grove Village acknowledges receipt of the public notice (Dockets #4134 & #4135 ) sent from the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals Office pertaining to the proposed zoning change for a 0. 4 acre parcel located at the southeast corner of Higgins Road and Oakton Street. The subject property is adja- cent and contiguous to the Elk Grove Village corporate boundaries . Please be advised that the property is reflected on the Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan as being within our future jurisdictional boundaries . The Village of Elk Grove Village is the govern- mental body best suited to provide necessary municipal services to the site, including water and sewer facili- ties , and police and fire protection. These services are essential for public protection as well as safe- guarding property and business investments. The Village of Elk Grove Village also maintains that it is in the best interest of comprehensive plan- ning to have the property pursue annexation and develop- ment within current Village codes and regulations. Even though the subject property lies within our future corporate limits , no effort has been made to seek annexation to the Village of Elk Grove, nor has any information been submitted to the Village regard- ing critical development aspects which will affect adjacent uses .
