Attention: Secretary, Zoning Board of Appeals
Re: Docket #4103
Dear Mr . Seith:
The Village of Elk Grove Village acknowledges
receipt of legal notice regarding the Cook County
Zoning Board of Appeals , Docket #4103 , for a Special
Use Permit to allow construction of an in-law apart-
ment on a 1. 3 acre parcel along the west side of
Martha Street, approximately 454 feet south of
Biesterfield Road.
The subject property is reflected as R-3 Single
Family Residential property within the future juris-
dictional boundaries of Elk Grove Village, pursuant
to the Village ' s Comprehensive Plan and Official
Map. The Village of Elk Grove finds the proposed
in-law apartment as inconsistent and inappropriate
use in a residential area. There are no existing
multi-family dwelling units in the subdivision. An
in-law apartment building would not be compatible
with abutting, existing single family residential
uses not only in Itasca Meadows Farms , but also in
the Village of Elk Grove Village .
Under these circumstances we are compelled
to urge that the applicant ' s petition for a Special
Use in unincorporated Cook County be denied.
Sincerely yours ,
CAW:mw CHARLES A. WILLIS
