A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JOINING IN ANY APPEAL TO THE
ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT IN THE LAKE BLUFF SUBDIVISION
AND DEVELOPMENT CASE
WHEREAS, the Village of Lake Bluff is involved in litigation origi-
nally filed in the Circuit Court of Lake County, testing the Village' s
authority to apply its subdivision regulations to a development in unin-
corporated Lake County within one and one-half mile of the corporate limits
of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of a number of municipalities
have determined that it would be in the best interest of their community
to join with and support the Village of Lake Bluff in the event said
litigation is further appealed to the Illinois Supreme Court; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of this municipality believe
it to be beneficial to the best interests of the community for it to
join in such a coordinated appeal ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois that it hereby joins in any such coordinated appeal
to the Illinois Supreme Court in the aforesaid Lake Bluff Case (Village
of Lake Bluff v. Jacobson, et al . , Gen. No. 83 CH 142) and authorizes
the Village Attorney for the Village of Lincolnshire to add this munici-
pality' s name to any such coordinated appeal and to represent its interest
therein at no cost to this municipality.
SECTION 1 . That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage and approval .
