KNICKERBOCKER Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on January 10, 2023, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Land Disposition. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: 1 February 2025 February 14, 2023 January 10, 2023 6:00 pm Wingspan will be announced tonight as the developer for the Elk Grove Woods Shopping Center redevelopment. The developer is currently in the process of creating revised renderings of the fagade that tie into the neighborhood aesthetic. The Board discussed the timeframe of the development and that the next steps will include an overview of the layout and site elevations, which will be shared with the public at an open house in the next few months. The Board discussed the pedestrian bridge and that the Village will need to work with Cook County on the exact placement of the bridge, although the bridge will be included as part of the overall site plan. The Mayor informed the Board that Wingspan will purchase the land and the Village will be able to assist in paying for TIF eligible expenses. The Mayor also shared that Wingspan does not plan to sell the property and intends to keep and manage the property. During discussions with Wingspan, the Mayor shared that the developer hopes to begin construction as soon as possible. The Board also discussed that Wingspan Development Group is a local company based in Mount Prospect and they are a subsidiary of Nicholas & Associates, which has completed several Village projects such as both Public Works buildings and the Village's Veterans Memorial Park. `- The traffic study for the plaza is still in progress and the results should be available in early February. The Board discussed the tentative locations of the businesses that are not yet finalized as the developer will need to schedule meetings with the business owners to confirm the necessary needs and wants of the businesses. The meeting was adjourned at 6:17 pm.
