Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on April 25, 2023, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Land Acquisition.

The Mayor shared that the Village is no longer pursuing the purchase of the Holiday Inn hotel.
Instead of purchasing the hotel, the owner has stated they have plans to invest $500,000 to
update the interior of the hotel. The Mayor shared that the Village can consider offering TIF
incentives to assist in the hotel improvements. The owners of the hotel stated they were
interested in building the hotel at the Technology Park. If the owners agree to build the hotel, the
Village will provide them with the land. The owners of the Holiday Inn were interested in
constructing a Marriott at the La Quinta site although they may decide not to pursue a new hotel
if the Holiday Inn will remain.
The Mayor shared he was approached by a high -quality national restaurant chain that may want
to locate to the La Quinta site.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:16 pm.
