The rat was put out today at the corner of Biesterfield and Wellington Avenue. A statement signed by the Mayor and all four of the Public Works Union stewards was posted on the Village website and social media explaining the situation. Trustee Schmidt inquired whether the cars are permitted to park on the parkway grass. The Police Department investigated the state law and found that up to 10 cars related to a union protest are permitted to park on the parkway. The Public Works Union representatives and members are backing the Village as proper procedures were followed. The meeting was adjourned at 6:48 pm.
