A RESOLUTION AMENDING ARTICLE II, RATES,
OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND BIRK'S TRANSPORTATION
AND FREIGHT COMPANY (ELK GROVE CAB COMPANY)
FOR SENIOR CITIZENS/HANDICAPPED PERSON TAXI-
CAB SERVICE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DUPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Agreement for senior citizens/handi-
capped person taxicab service entered into between the
Village of Elk Grove Village and Birk's Transportation and
Freight Company pursuant to Resolution No. 101-80 duly
passed and approved on the 28th day of October, 1980, be
and the sameis hereby amended, with respect to Article II,
Rates, in order to read as follows:
Article II Rates. Notwithstanding the normal
rates for taxicab service as is set forth in
Section 18.4213 of the Municipal Code of the
Village, the Cab Company shall provide taxi-
cab service to all registered senior citizens/
handicapped persons of the Village at the
following rates:
(A). A flat fee of One Dollar and Seventy-five
Cents ($1.75) shall be charged for all
senior citizens/handicapped persons
for one-way trips within the Village limits,
Fifty Cents ($.50) of which shall be charged
to the passenger and One Dollar and Twenty-
five Cents ($1.25) billed to the Village as
hereinafter provided.
(B.) Any trip beyond the Village limits shall be
charged at the then applicable taxicab rates
charged for regular service. The total fare
shall be reduced by One Dollar and Twenty-
five Cents ($1.25), which amount shall be
billed to the Village as hereinafter provided.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
