A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $30,000.00 TO THE ELK GROVE
PARK DISTRICT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO (2) TENNIS COURTS AND
THE PURCHASE OF ASSORTED TREES AND SHRUBS IN THE SZYWALA (PARKVIEW
HEIGHTS) DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Ted Szywala, President, Parkway Development Company, Schiller
Park, Illinois, has submitted a check in the amount of $30,000.00, payable
to the Village of Elk Grove Village, to fulfill the obligation to provide the
Village with cash in lieu of 1.44 acres of land, according to the Annexation
Agreement dated November 9, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the Official Transcript from the Public Hearing on the Szywala
Annexation Agreement indicates that these monies were to be used for the
construction of two (2) tennis courts and the purchase of assorted trees and
shrubs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the Village Treasurer of the Village of Elk Grove Village
is hereby authorized and directed to transfer to the Elk Grove Park District the
sum of $30,000.00 for the purposes set forth in the preamble to this Resolution.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
