A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN OVERTIME POLICY FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
FOREMAN POSITIONS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1 : That Section 7.8 of Article VII , Overtime Compensation, of
the Personnel Rules and Regulations of Elk Grove Village, adopted by Resolution
No. 13-80 be and is hereby amended to include the following:
Public Works Foreman: The following overtime policy shall
be in force for all first line supervisors in the Public Works
Department:
A. Overtime at a rate of time and one-half, shall be paid to
foreman in the Public Works Department, when emergency situations
develop which requires their supervision: Emergency situations,
for purposes of this item, shall be defined by the Director of
Public Works.
B. Public Works Foremen shall not receive any extra compensation
for meetings, training and completion of tasks.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
