A RESOLUTION HONORING THE ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove High School Girls Basketball Team has distinguished
itself by becoming the Mid -Suburban League South Division Champions and Regional
Champions in the State play-offs; and
WHEREAS, Carole Pollitz and Faith Mimnaugh of the team have been named as
All Conference Players; and
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove High School Girls Basketball Team provided their
fans with an excellent season highlighted by fine coaching and exceptional
individualand team effort of its' basketball players; and
WHEREAS, recognition is given to Principal Donald Ring Ph.D, Coach Marcia
Gordon and Assistant Coach Mil Hale and the following team members:
Carol Balmes
Terese Brussino
Kathy Czopek
Jean Leidinger
Faith Mimnaugh
Karyn Mullen
Carole Pollitz
Kim Richardson
Leeann Rose
Pam Van Den Bussche
WHEREAS, the Championships were won as a result of the overall determination,
self sacrifice and dedication displayed by the above mentioned coaches and
players.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the Elk Grove High School Girls Basketball Team is hereby
commended for the honor they have bestowed upon the Village and High School by
winning the Mid -Suburban League South Division Championship and the Regional
Championship in the State Play -Offs.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
