A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE ELK GROVE PARK DISTRICT AS THE AGENT OF
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE FOR RECEIVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village elected to participate in the
1978 Cook County Community Development Block Grant Program, which began on
October 1, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village applied to Cook County for a
Community Development Block Grant for the purpose of developing a Senior
Citizen Service Center and program for the Senior Citizen residents of the
Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village desires to have such a program
including the development of the Service Center, administered by the Elk Grove
Park District of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, State of
Illinois, that the Elk Grove Park District is hereby designated as the agent
of the Village for the purpose of receiving Community Development Block Grant
funds to develop, through acquisition or construction, a Senior Citizen Center;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the. Elk Grove Park District is authorized to
apply to Cook County in subsequent years for Community Development Block Grant
funds for the Senior Citizen Center.
