Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on January 9 2024, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Personnel.

There were close to 30 applicants for the Chief of Police position. There are 10 candidates that
are scheduled for video interviews on January 9, 10 and 16. The candidates will then be
narrowed down to 6-8 applicants for an Assessment Center on January 24 with panel interviews
to follow. Following the interviews, the Board will have an opportunity to meet the top 3-4
candidates.
No out-of-state candidates are being interviewed.
The Mayor explained that he appoints the Police Chief with the consent of the Village Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 pm.
