Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on Febru 13, 2024, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Land Acquisition.

The closing for the Goodyear property at 300 Busse Road is scheduled for February 29, 2024.
The Mayor shared that the hockey rink originally considered for the former Aldi/Home Depot
shopping center may be considered for this area with possibly a Culvers or other restaurant use at
the corner. The Mayor suggested if this was the case, the Village would buy out Goodyear from
their lease and the Village would work with Wingspan on a plan for them to purchase the land
from the Village. Nick Papanicholas with Wingspan is looking further into the new location for
the hockey rink.
The Board was in favor of the hockey rink and Culvers at this location.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:23 pm.
