REGULAR VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
MAY 12, 2026
1.CALL TO ORDER-7:13 PM
PRESENT: Mayor Craig B. Johnson, Trustees Joseph D. Bush, Jeffery C. Franke, Kathryn A.
Jarosch, Keith Lasken, Tammy K. Miller, Stephen F. Schmidt
ABSENT: None
A Quorum was present
Also Present: Village Manager Matthew J. Roan, Village Attorney Michael T. Del Galdo, and
Village Clerk Jennifer Mahon
2.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/ INVOCATION
3.APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF April 28, 2026 -Motion to approve the Minutes of the
Regular Board Meeting held on April 28, 2026 as submitted and dispense with the reading.
Moved by: Trustee Franke Seconded by: Trustee Bush
The motion was voted upon by acclamation

4.MAYOR & BOARD OF TRUSTEES' REPORT
Mayor Johnson-Mayor Johnson advised the community that he and Village Manager Matt Roan
met with the Consul General of Italy on April 30.
Mayor Johnson attended Coffee with the Board on May 2 and was pleased to see such a nice
turnout.
Mayor Johnson noted the parade meeting was held on May 5.
Mayor Johnson shared the Village held a Business License Hearing on May 7 and they hope to
resolve the issue in the next meeting on May 27.
Mayor Johnson explained Ripple Fiber and AT&T are both installing high speed internet in the
Village. He reminded the community by federal law we must allow them into our yards.
Mayor Johnson informed the community that a Town Hall meeting regarding data centers will be
held on May 20 at Belvedere Banquets.
Mayor Johnson introduced members of the Character Coalition, who then announced the four
scholarship winners for the Character Coalition Scholarship Program.
Trustee Bush-Trustee Bush is attending the Bulgarian Fest and parade on Sunday, May 17. He
noted that the Elk Grove students have begun participating in the Chalk it Up to Character event,
with many positive messages and drawings displayed around the high school.
Trustee Miller -Trustee Miller attended the Interfaith Luncheon on May 7. She also shared that
approximately 150 businesses, churches and schools participated in the Chalk it Up to Character
event. Trustee Miller reminded the community that Cop on a Rooftop will take place on Friday,
May 15 starting at 5 a.m. at Dunkin Donuts. She also noted that the Public Works Department will
host its open house on Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works Facility on
Devon A venue.
