Trustee Franke moved to enter into Executive Session, seconded by Trustee Miller. The motion
passed unanimously.

Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on September 10, 2024, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Personnel.

Field Training Officers in the Police Department have been under a lot of strain over the past few
years due to the constant need to train new recruits, especially with some not making it through
probation. The Police Chief would like to offer a stipend of $250 per month for FTOs to
acknowledge appreciation of their efforts. There are 7 or 8 FTOs. The consensus of the Board
was to move forward with the $250 monthly stipend. Mayor Johnson will advise the Police
Union on Thursday.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:07 pm.
