HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 44-77 - 6/14/1977 - HONORARY CITIZEN OF EGV/BOBBY HULLRESOLUTION NO. 44-77 A RESOLUTION iNAKING BOBBY HULL AN HONORARY CITIZEN OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, Bobby Hull has completed 20 years as a professional hockey player,—fifteen years with the Chicago Blackhawks and five years with the Winnepeg Jets; and, WHEREAS, Bobby Hull has been honored over the past ten years by Eli Field of the FIELD CONTAINER CORPORATION of Elk Grove Village, by an annual BOBBY HULL DAY in Elk Grove Village; and, WHEREAS, the BOBBY HULL DAY has brought credit and recognition to the Village of Elk Grove Village, due to the positive influence in upgrading the sport of professional hockey; and, WHEREAS, Bobby Hull has had a positive influence on the youth of the United States of America and the Dominion of Canada and the youth of the Village of Elk Grove Village: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustaes of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That Bobby Hull is declared to be an Honorary Citizen of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, effective June 22, 1977. Section 2: That this Resolution be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by Law.
