A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF CHICAGO MAYOR MICHAEL BILANDIC'S POSITION
IN OPPOSING THE LANDING OF SUPERSONIC TRANSPORTS AT O' HARE FIELD
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Chicago, Michael Bilandic has taken a position of
opposition to the landing of Supersonic Transports at O' Hare Field; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is immediately adjacent to
O' Hare Field; and
WHEREAS, the landing of Supersonic Transports at O'Hare Field would be
detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Village
of Elk Grove Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois;
Section 1 . That the Village of Elk Grove Village gives full and complete
support to the position of Mayor Michael Bilandic in his opposition to the
landing of Supersonic Transports at O' Hare Field.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a certified
copy of this resolution to Mayor Michael Bilandic.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
