A RESOLUTION WISHING CHARLES J. ZETTEK A "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
WHEREAS, Charles J. Zettek, President of the Village of Elk
Grove Village celebrated his birthday on November 7, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees wishes to express to him its
warmest regards and congratulations on this day; and
WHEREAS, President Zettek is recovering at home from recent
surgery; and
WHEREAS, medical experts have said he is well on his way to
recovery, it is understood that he does not share that view, and that
the nominal discomfort he has experienced on occasion should be prohibited
by Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees also wishes him a speedy recovery,
notwithstanding his general reluctance to cooperate with our wishes, but
WHEREAS, he has declared a willingness to greet well-wishers
In his home, said persons should accept said invitation with due caution
because of Max, the Village President's affectionate, aggressive, and
large, in fact oversized dog;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1 . That President Zettek enjoy his birthday to the fullest;
Section 2. That he will enjoy many, many birthdays to come;
Section 3• That he soon will be back at the helm of the Village
Government tackling its problems almost as well as his
son, Scott, is tackling opposing teams at Notre Dame.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the good President upon his return
to the helm shall be and is hereby granted one five-minute period to
explain and describe the surgical procedure and his reactions in his
recent operation; provided, however, that any discussion of said surgery
beyond the allotted time will be declared a public nuisance and
punishable by appropriate measures as may be determined by members of
the Village Board;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village President is hereby
requested and urged to return to his post as his of self . . . crabby,
as usual ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that with the love of God,
family, friends, and Max, that our Village President will learn to
take one day at a time and live life to its fullest, placing everything
into its proper perspective, and let the good Lord take care of the rest.
