A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATION FOR INFLOW/INFILTRATION STUDY
OF THE VILLAGE OWNED SANITARY SEWERS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois, as
follows:
Section 1. That Charles A. Willis, Village Manager, is hereby designated
the authorized representative of the Village of Elk Grove Village with authority
to execute all documents in connection with the application acceptance and
administration for the State and Federal Grants in behalf of the Village of Elk
Grove Village.
Section 2. That the Village of Elk Grove Village acting through its
authorized representative requests a Step 1 Sewer System Evaluation grant in the
amount of $207,450.00 under title to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act
Amendments of 1972.
Section 3. That the Village of Elk Grove Village will use force account
to do the Sewer System Evaluation. The Village of Elk Grove Village believes
that the work can be accomplished more economically by use of the force account;
that the Village of Elk Grove Village possesses the necessary competence required
to accomplish the Step 1 work; and that the diversion of personnel resources
to perform the required force account tasks will not affect accomplishment of
essential functions of their normally assigned tasks.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval, according to law.
